early at 4:45 AM the sounds reach in through my windows
as the early choir of birds sing their way into my being
offering their song for the day, their hope for joy
streaming through the sunlit beams of dreams
beckoning me out of my comfort
promising to fly with me through the maze
winging their way through Mother Earth
accompanying me out of the purple haze
chirping with delight, innocence… so free
with courage and daring they go into flight
angel wings carrying them out to SEE
promising another day to live with delight!
Beautiful days 😀

Thank you, Shaun! You are such a sweet person! I am still catching up on another award you gave me 2 weeks ago! lol…My youngest daughter is graduating from the University tomorrow…I was married LATE in life…and divorced LATER…lol….in any case, Lara, 22, will be graduating tomorrow and then heading off to Togo, West Africa for two years to work in the Peace Corps. Today there was a Liturgy (Mass) for all of the graduates– I cried thinking about how little time we have left…I must let her go! Another “letting go” for me!

Ahhh sorry.
Letting go is never easy, I am doing this with my sons in the next while. 19 and 21 they are. She will be fine. But its the missing them that hurts.
I am always here for you if you want to chat ok…

I love your sensitivity, Shaun! You are such a lovely person and I am so happy for you that you have a wonderful partner who helps to bring this out in you and your dear children…no matter their ages…they are ALWAYS your children! Blessings on you all! Yes, I am sure I will SKYPE you again…once the tears have settled and my “little bird” is on her way into the world!

I am so touched by this award from you…We are “Light Beings” to one another…by this I mean…I honor the light and goodness in you, just as I feel you honor it in me…we have been given a great gift!
Your poetry touches my heart…and I am sure of so many others! You are a very talented writer and photographer! Your work is YOU…by being YOU, you encourage others to be self-accepting…I appreciate you because you freely show all dimensions of your thoughts–and that is courageous! My feeling is that when you do this, it gives hope to someone when they are in the dark space, that many of us travel in a dark space now and then, but there is also the possibility of HOPE and LIGHT after the journey…that we can surface and breathe again! For me, that helps me to survive the “dark night.”
I was in Amsterdam one night and one morning in January of 1979…and did have one ride down the canals…it is such a picturesque city! I do not know if you live there or not…but just to let you know that my experience of your country and the welcome I received was beautiful, even if brief. To have possibly been INside your country–increases my “feel” of your life…On another note, when I taught in Kenya for too short a time, Sept.1977-Jan.1979, people always thought I was “Dutch” and from Holland! Maybe we are related??! Sweet!

That would be great! 🙂 Shane has also roots in Holland, so maybe we are just one big family! I love the thought of that. ❤

“Streaming through sunlit beams of dreams”
Beautiful words to try and remember every morning when we look out the window for the first time.
That’s the kind of writing that can touch others in a meaningful way. Not just to be enjoyed at the time of reading but to be acted upon day after day.
Thanks

dear Steven, your words touch my poet’s heart…thank you so much…I have had this blog since 2011…and it has only been in the last two months that I have so many people read my writings. I am so amazed! I really am–I think people think that I am just being falsely modest–but I am truly amazed! I do not know what brought about the change—except that I felt love for the first time in a long time…I found an artist who believed in me…and we never have met face-to-face, interestingly enough. I think that is what was the catalyst! Love! I see how important love is in our universe! and for each other…even IF we never meet in actual space…words have such an impact! I did not even think I could write–I still wonder—you may think I am being weird when i say this…but when I first saw your comments…”streaming through sunlit beams of dreams”—I thought, “Wow, that is cool, Steven!” I did *not* recognize my own writing! LOL
