I looked at the moon tonight
It was the same moon I saw from my window in St. Michael when I was a kid
I looked at the moon tonight
It was the same moon I saw from my window when studying at Marquette
I looked at the moon tonight
It was the same moon I stared at from the steps at Pembridge Place
I looked at the moon tonight
It was the same moon whose light graced my path as I walked at midnight while on Kiriko Ridge
I looked at the moon tonight
It was the same moon I saw from the stairwell, looking through the window, in Ottawa
I looked at the moon tonight Sixty years later
It was the same moon…
Has anything changed?
I still am looking for that elusive love…
I looked at the moon too, I always do that before going to sleep.
It is the same moon which I thought that was following me when I was a child, the same moon that gives us a wonderful view when there are no clouds at night, the same moon that inspired so many poets, the same moon that influences our lives and that is studied in astrology. It is always there, unchanged, even that sometimes it doesn’t show us all its beauty.
We are the ones who get bored, who need changes in our lives. We are the ones who say “goodbye” to the person we love, just because a little tears were falling.
You’ve done a great job with this post, I like your manner of writing, and the melancholy that infiltrates your lines.
[P.S.: I am sorry if I spelled something wrong, I will try to improve my English.]

dear Emma, thank you for your beautiful and heartfelt response! You have brought an interesting insight into this poem: “We are the ones who get bored, who need changes in our lives. We are the ones who say “goodbye” to the person we love, just because a little tears were falling” — yes, so true!
I think your English is terrific! I hope that one day I could write that well in Romanian! Thank you for your compliments! Have a blessed day, Emma!

My Same Moon in St Michaels, and imagine that it follows us where ever we go. Just like God. Even though he is in our Hearts we feel him. Seeing and feeling are Great aspects of the human body. So glad he gave them to us. Sunshine n Rainbows to YOU!!!!

the moon is a constant…Universal Love is a constant…look inside and remember YOU live in the Heart of God (kahlil Gibran)…You are worthy of true love. DO not base your worth on the actions of another. Remember the GIFT you are…perhaps the Moon can be a reminder of the faithfulness of God–God is always with us…even when we feel most alone.
