the great silence

“This is how it always is when I finish a poem.
A great silence comes over me,
and I wonder why I ever thought
to use language !”

adapted quote by RUMI

Words…

courageous attempt to convey the nuances of the heart…

subtleties of the breath within

our innermost thoughts

speaking though the whimsical lines and curves of letters that become words

only…

still we are not heard…

the pulse within still longs

the emotions prolonged
