snow covers the crevices
weeping into the imperfections of nature
healing the wounds of yesterday
reaching for promise
revitalizing the inner beauty
hoping for a new Spring
I looked at the painting as people helping each other–the man helping to save the elderly man with his hand outstretched. Elaine did not like the art piece at all…her impressions were NOT at all what I was going for…I just saw people in need and others reaching out to help. Amazing the different reactions to an artpiece!
Well, I was just looking at the photo in its entirety– each one reaching for the other to help them. I did not see it as the man was neglecting the child. It is amazing to me how some people responded to the painting—I just saw it as we reach out for each other when in need. In any case, due to the negative reactions, I changed the picture.
dear Betty,
I changed the picture…I saw people helping people…but too many readers saw “confusion” etc…so I changed it. I saw the younger man helping the older man…and I thought it was GOOD—the child was being helped and would be helped by him as well, I am sure! LOL You are so sweet!
Beautiful painting, but what ir represent is otherwise!!

I love your poem and like the painting but don’t how they are connected. How awful that the young man is saving the old man instead of the child.
