Friends

WHO is it that does the simple things of everyday life

that become the HUGE things in your everyday strife?

WHO is it that takes the time to sit with you for lunch

when they might have to listen to boring words at brunch?

WHO is it that walks along to the mundane place of Home Depot

when you have to order a water heater for your old chateau?

WHO is it that tells you that you are sane

when all around you becomes a difficult refrain?

WHO  is that carries such honest charm

And willingly lends a restful arm?

WHO is it that listens so patiently to all you say

When you are ready to call it a day?

WHO is it that is so giving and true

why, of course, it is a FRIEND like YOU!

    • Thank you, Robin, for your visit and compliments! I thought the Black-eyed Susans were striking–they are growing in my backyard perennial garden–I plant what is easy to maintain! 🙂 I selected this photo because of the ONE Black-eyed Susan in the forefront—sort of like the friend who is so close and kind!

Silly me, I noticed your name is Jane and I may have thought it was Joann with an “h” and called you this in the past. I apologize if I did this. There are so many ways people spell names. . .♡

    • LOL..no problem! You are not alone, Robin! It is my own fault for using my last name in the blog’s name. I was at my wit’s end when I began this blog, and not very creative at THAT moment. I have thought about changing the blog’s name but I am afraid to do so because then I will lose my WordPress friends! What do you think—should I change it and would I regret it? Ah…so you thought I was “Joann”–that explains the other’s use of it also…It is okay in any case, no offense taken. In fact, my good friend and colleague from where I once taught–called me “Yohannie!” LOL Thank you for your many visits and encouraging words on my writing! Blessings on your weekend!
