On the precipice…

What is happening in my home country, the United States of America, rips my heart apart.

The depravity sickens me to my core.

I have not written on my blog much in the last five years due to the struggles life sometimes throws to us. Time was taken from me and now I am returning to a balance— and I feel obligated to write and say that the racism and mistreatment of human beings…the savage death of more than 200 innocent people by ICE…the sexual exploitation, savagery and death of so many young girls and boys… tears me to the core of my being!

Thank God this has all been exposed. Only if we confront these atrocities can we begin to walk on the moral path.

I am 76 now…. We are living such grave injustice….I think we are paying for the sins of our country’s history. The genocide of the Native Americans lies at our feet…the racism against Black Americans has never stopped…every ethnic groups of people from any other country has ALWAYS been subjected to bigotry. Women in every country of the world, including the USA, have treated women like cattle to be bought, sold, used..,

Children! Children! Children! Our future! Murdered! Destroyed!

How do we as a nation sit idly by and allow the brutal killing of fellow human beings?

All of these horrible atrocities—- and yet… we are called upon not to give in to despair. We must continue to HOPE! We cannot stop believing in each other. We have to continue to believe in Life! We must RESIST and do what we can to help one another. Any act of kindness is important— no matter how small or insignificant we think it is. Each act of goodness if propelled by each of us, will bring us closer to love and freedom. Even if it is opening a door for someone… help each other and we will get through this!
