Yes, I was eavesdropping! My darlings are here tonight for a sleepover. while their Mommy visits with her sister before the younger sister takes off for Togo, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. Ayden and Nadia are playing with the toys, and all of a sudden I heard this plaintive whimper from Nadia. My grandma ears went on alert. I waited a second before moving into action, and I overheard Ayden say, “Sissy, you know it is not about winning; it is just about having fun!” in the most gentle tone ever! It was wonderful to hear this! Immediately, Nadia responded giggling, “Oh yeah, that’s right!.” Onward they played wonderfully! This was a Hallmark moment!
Kids are so cute and philosophical too

Tersia, I hope you are doing better! If I did not have my grandchildren to lighten my heart…my days would be so difficult. It is so hard to lose those we love…yet, we have to carry on and bring joy to those we are with…it is not always easy…this I know.
