“Snow Moon Night”
sometimes dark doesn’t move
we are deep within it
yet even in the cloud of black
we find beauty and strength
because Goodness greater than ourselves is holding us gently

Well…I woke up thinking…My writing was NOT that original, Robin…upon awakening this morning, Psalm 139 popped into my brain:
“Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
My prayer days in the convent are present in my subconscious…so it seems…

There is always a crack, which is where the light seeps in, however, what I read in the depth of your words is that it is also okay to sit here in the darkness for a little while, more than okay, we need to be able to acknowledge it and sit with it.

Beautiful poem and photo. Will you enter some of your photos and art work in our Art Expo in April? Entry fee is $35.00. However, I would consider not charging you until you make some sales so you would not be out $$ at the onset. Please pray on this. You have such beautiful pieces. Blessings,Rev. Mari G

Yes, I agree the darkness within engulfs, it builds a wall around our spirits and for some a constant fight to find the light. Love this piece, E

Yes, that is true when depression hits me…it is a constant fight to seek the light…and maybe I just need to be calm…and remember, I am not alone…

I hope it gives encouragement, when all feel lost and encompassed by the
“dark night of the soul”—we are really never alone…I began to read a bit about quantum physics and how just by us looking at something changes that something…we are all interrelated…Just think how much the news affects our being–how I wish there was a station that only played GOOD NEWS—wouldn’t that be something? But I guess what I was also trying to say is that sometimes yes we are deep in the dark, but if we accept it, and become calm in it, we can begin to heal from it…because we are not fighting it…I do not know if that makes sense…???

it makes sense, but sometimes the fighting makes who we are. acceptance is a tricky bag of marbles. i like to think that God finds us at our worst, and doesn’t leave us there…..
