You are a Crystal Being…for Stephanie

Whirlwind

Whirlwind

You are a crystal being

held tenderly by a loving God

Out of Love you were fashioned

Out of Love you grew

Out of Love you are

In your darkest moments

Sit quietly and return to your Center

and bask in the LOVE of God

All that surrounds us

is illusion

We exist only in LOVE

It is in LOVE that we find ourselves

In the depth of the notes

Your music rings out the true you

crystalline quarter notes

staccato plays…carrying you home

to the restful Love…

You are a Crystal Being

Held tenderly by a Loving God

Wind Talk

Banff region of Alberta, Canada

Banff region of Alberta, Canada

the fragility of who we are

hangs in the shadows of our feelings

as life urges us to hang on…

walking among the trees

the wind whistles serenity

and somewhere hope is in the mist–

the climb is steep…

all around are beings

who shout us down

even saying, “you don’t belong”

telling us to eliminate ourselves

telling us we are horrible and worse…

that we are nothing…

that we meant nothing…

that we are inferior to who they are…

that we don’t quite measure up…to their idea of perfection…

that we are not worthy of love…

that we are not worthy of life–

pain is intense as we chew the words flung at us–

then we need to go deep into the stillness inside

and listen to the LOVE from where we came

and be at home  in that peace…

be still in the heart of GOD…

be still and know it is there that we are…

be still and know we are at home with GOD…

and listen…

to the Wind Talk

courage…

take courage…

believe in your heart

courage…

take courage…

it is not too late to start

courage…

take courage…

get up and live your part

courage…

take courage…

life hit you with a deadly dart

courage…

take courage…

rise above…it is an art

what happened to us?

the water flowed gently

your hand placed in mine

we lost all track of time

your heart felt so close

moments dissipated before our eyes

the words we texted never ceased to light the skies

we chatted away into the night

as the night became the day

and thought our love would never sway

but then…

what happened to us?

“If I didn’t hurt, it wouldn’t be LOVE”

Cracked Ice in the Sidewalk

Cracked Ice in the Sidewalk

so there you have it…no need to boggle

you loved and it was lost in the shuffle

or somewhere in the  soufflé

you loved and it was not received

the way you thought and perceived

in the prominent Broadway cliche

you loved and you lost

and so you must bear the cost

and turn it into a bouquet

If it didn’t hurt, it wouldn’t be love

It would not have felt as warm as a glove

Now leave your self-pity and ride to the chalet!

we stepped into a dream

edelweiss-wallpapers

we stepped into a dream

breathing in

cascading heartbeat doves

winging our way into love

*

we stepped into a dream

water-colored moments

Spring came into Autumn

no hint of the elusive phantom

*

we stepped into a dream

penetrating walls of silence

opening up new auras

and countless beaches

*

we stepped into a dream

for a little while

seeing moments of paradise

blossoming mornings of edelweiss

the Mountains of Banff

Rocky Mountains in Banff, Alberta, Canada

towering high granite

breath-taking banquet

windswept tree lines

sheer rock sublime

cool mountain streams

never-ending dreams

unique facets at every angle

invitation more than cordial

how small and insignificant we are

you stand tall as our guiding star

you weathered many a storm

each crack and crevice gave you form

here and there lightning seared a new path

majestically you withstood the wrath

kiss the sky with your beauty

we feel your strength quite acutely

Impasse at Mount Rundle

"Impasse"

“Impasse”

the cowgirl treks the slope

grabbing hold of tender branches

feeling the cool evening breeze

amid the tangled scratches

she drinks from the mountain stream

crystal ice soothes her thirst

snowshoe steps brings her closer

determination she does nurse

onward and upward she climbs

keeping her dream constant

seemingly unaware and persistent

in a cloud of unsure distance

then the impasse came

the path could not be found

no fault, no one to blame

the mountain–bare silence, no sound

her steps came to a blunt end

then around the corner of her eye

a new opening came her way

spiraling forth with courage

she created another day!

Crystal Death

the perfectly designed snowflake

came cascading down

on and on it fell

wind carrying it up and over

around and around

twirling once

twirling twice

spiraling forward…

at last, the crystal reached its final resting place

then…

all was quiet

no sound
