dandelions carpet the lawn

with golden top hats of color…

their inner beauty spotted by another of innocence

the child of simplicity  sees its beauty

and gathers handfuls to form a bouquet

for her mother…

who is delighted…

to be  given  such a beautiful gift!

watercolor tears

turquoise  white paper lifts my spirits

forcing me to break into smile

as thoughts of you go on for miles and miles

how lovely the moments…burgundy time

when we text and message so sublime

alas…the opaqueness of the day

lends me no comfort as you have gone away

feelings unsaid…my heart broken… words unspoken

i struggle to find a way to dispel the sorrow

of you not in my tomorrow

all was light…yellow orange fun…beginning so well

how did the love get swallowed by dark ocean swell

how can i smile with watercolor tears in my eyes

pastel loss continues to arise

my body feels black, grey and torn

for your absence is what i mourn

Daffodil Spring

love of daffodils

love of daffodils

daffodils fill the world with sun

daffodils fill the world with fun

daffodils take the lead

daffodils laughing indeed

daffodils urge the green

daffodils are the Spring queens

daffodils are yellow you see

daffodils are love for you and me

metanoia…a spiritual change of heart

let go…i heard it often as i lived through the day

it annoyed me no end and why i could not say

let go! let go! let go! they did not understand

they did not know i needed what i was seeking for my plan

i couldn’t let go…if i did..then…what would happen?

i did not want that crazy axman

days solidified into weeks and weeks into years

letting go was something i definitely feared

then a friend came into my life

unknowingly, challenging me to let go of my strife

to stop centering on me and feel the need of someone so free

still…i did not see…why must it be…why me?

i fought…and fought…and gave it much thought

and night fast came upon me and still i was distraught

then through the night and stillness of the open portals

came the light and  my sad defenses came to crumbles

i wept with pity for myself that all i needed was to let go

for in letting go… letting be…all that was sought would flow

home is something never outdated

home is the finishing touch on the kitchen wall

home is where you scrub and give it your all

home is where you gather with your friends

home is where your evenings see no end

home is where life is about

home is where you safely display your doubts

home is where the kisses play

home is where you are not afraid

home is where you dance all night

home is writing in the moonlight

home is painting until your heart’s content

home is finding love’s intent

home is where the steps are heard

home is where you are always answered

home is you in the flesh

home is where you are refreshed

home is where you can freely roam

home is where you find your shalom

home is where you find your face

home is your sacred space

 love spilled

out of me

like the blue water spring in the valley

over flowing

bubbling

molecules not counting, not keeping tally

love spilled

out of

me

like the unlimited starlight

from the purple hazed skies

brilliant

effervescent

not wondering why

love spilled

out of me

like orange blossomed sunbeams

gently

lightly

touching the earth as if in a dream

 love spilled

out of me

like breath from my being

effortlessly

naturally

for YOU

were all that was seen!

the smile

the smile

caught us both

you liked mine

i liked yours

intensity built

as the conversations flowed

inundating the email system

in a back and forth flurry

then on to Messenger

day and night

into the wee hours

parlaying…smiling…laughing

detours…disconnects…

realignment…words running furiously onward

time knew no bounds

then

texting followed my heart

through several states

then

we skyped

and met face to face

then

we planned how we would meet

then

plans became interrupted

and

now…

NOTHING…

even in their absence

words ARE  sharper than swords

perseverance

the bud is born…the leaf formed

basking in the sunlight

it breathes in the air

and happily colors itself green

smiling gayly, waving sweetly

then the winds come…

the source of ocean

the source of ocean (Photo credit: sundaymay)

the storm is all about

the green leaf has fallen from the tree…

fallen into the river running wild down the bed

pushed along by life’s  force

happened

so quickly…

boundaries unknown

oh…stubbed its toe! on the rock below…

pushed up again by the wave of gentleness…the wind carries it freely

as it breezes its way, floating on love

then turbulence…the sky has turned grey

bashed here and there…

suffocating…it can not breathe…

drowning…in the sea of life…

yet some unknown force…some angel-life draws it forward

it says, don’t give up…one more float

the green leaf is a bit tattered

and bruised…but stronger for the ware…

it continues down the river…

pushed down…up and over

then riding the waves once again…

the waters carry it forth

as it rests gently on the shore

battle with the insidious alliance

Bing Pong

Well, what have we here?

An insidious alliance

With dark, wretched anguish!

Well, what have we here?

Beating yourself up again?

Not willing to relinquish?

Well, what have we here?

Swallowing the words of the oppressor?

Allowing yourself to be extinguished!

Well, what have we here?

No, stand inside yourself

Let-go of the pain–allow the evil to famish!

Well, what have we here?

I, me, and myself as well

Only goodness will be my garnish!

Well, what have we here?

I, me, and myself as well

I will not let love be tarnished!
